Antique 1888 German silver award medal featuring Friedrich I, Grand Duke of Baden (Friedrich Großherzog von Baden). A substantial late-19th-century medal with an attractive aged patina and detailed portrait work.

The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Friedrich I surrounded by the inscription “FRIEDRICH GROSSHERZOG VON BADEN.”

The reverse features an ornate oak-leaf wreath with bow and a hand-engraved presentation inscription dated 1888, making this an especially interesting personalized award piece from the German Empire period.
